The RE youth and staff are incredibly grateful to all the amazing volunteers and congregants who came out on Wednesday, the 7th to help us raise funds to build a 2nd Friendship library in Ghana.  We collected about $600 minus expenses, currently, we raised $1,300.
Words cannot express how thankful we are for each and every one of you for your continuous support and encouragement. Kolya, you’re an amazing youth, stepping up and taking a critical lead on this project, speaks volumes.  You did a fantastic job on Wednesday and everyone was very impressed.
As part of our continue fundraising efforts, Kolya and other youth will be selling sandwiches for lunch during the town hall meetings.  If you would like to support us, please pre-order your lunch.  The next town hall meeting is Feb 11th.
The cost for the lunch is $5 and the choices are:
Roast beef
with either whole wheat, rye or white bread…
Will post the pre-order link soon…

Remember!  This is a fund-raiser!  So sandwiches….. Yes, they are $5…. made by hand by our youth, I’ve heard….  But you can pay MORE!  Feel free!  $10!  a $20 bill!   It’s a cause worth supporting!

I’ve gotten emails from 5 people offering larger contributions… $100 – $500   So don’t be shy!

How to make these larger gifts for the new school library in Ghana?

- Mail in a check to the UUCA office, or put it in the offering plate any Sunday.

- Charge it on your credit card via the UUCA website… There’s a YRUU Ghana Library Project category when you scroll down the “giving” page.

We have $1,300 toward our $9,000 goal… Let’s support our young people!

The photo is from the dedication of the first Ghana school library in August, 2006.  The new library will reduce over-crowding in this one.  New library is 5 miles from the first one…. (Many users travel 5 miles to the original one!!!)

Thanks, everyone… this project will change some lives.
